Ehh, I dunno about that. I think Res Evil did relatively well on Gamecube (When you consider the size of the userbase) and Wii (When you consider what actually released). Obviously the series does best on PlayStation by an absolute Mile, but I think Res Evil has a bigger core audience on Nintendo platforms than it does on Xbox platforms at least.
