Religion doesn't do anything, its a set of beliefs. Blaming religion for the acts of people is simple naive and simplistic. Its akin to saying that many school shooters are white males so we a certain gender and race is causing a lot of harm to schools.

This is semantics really. I'm referring to the people that follow a set of beliefs.

I don't think white males are shooting up schools because a set of beliefs. That probably has more to do with mental illness, wanting attention, etc.

Regardless blaiming a set of beliefs for the actions of people is the same argument that homophobes made.
