It's a 2D Metroidvania...kinda. You don't aquire new abilities per se, but you certainly learn how to use your existing ones in new ways. The story is a bit odd, but that definitely adds to the charm. And did I mention the game is gorgeous? |
I've dismissed it before for some reason, might look at it again. Although I am looking forward to Nifflas next game, cave exploration like abyss but with an interesting control scheme to boot.
