There are WAY more differences between X and Y than there were between Red and Blue or Gold and Silver.

The point is that there are a lot of different Pokemon games, and just because they haven't made a game that matches your imaginary dream game doesn't mean Game Freak is afraid to take risks. It means they don't want to make that game. And I don't particularly want them to, since it sounds nothing at all like a Pokemon game.

Versions =/= Spin Off

Versions refer to the games editions, hence the description of legendaries, the different boxes, Etc, the games on the consoles are all spinoffs in fact.

Spin Offs are different franchises spawned from the mainline series.

There had better be differences between X and Y(2013) and Red(1996).

Regardless, you don't seem to get that the entire point of this thread is to describe a new homeconsole pokemon, not one that already fucking exists why would that be on topic here, even the thread title says it, who cares what the fuck you want, this is my opinion and my suggestion, and you have no right to attack it on the basis that you simply disagree with it.

You can mindlessly defend GameFreak all you want, but there are clear examples of them being afraid to change and fans simply taking it into there own hands, At least two Pokemons with ABS I know are in development, Pokemon Generations and Pokemon NXT, PokeMMO while buggy is filling a need that GameFreak doesn't care about. 

Most of the changes to the mainline game are cosmetic, the few mechanical changes simply extension of the simple hardware limited system they had in 1996.

BUT I DON'T EVEN CARE ABOUT THE MAINLINE SERIES, Is the point you seem to constantly be ignoring, the entire topic of this thread is to discuss what you would want to see in a spinoff home console game.

Now you wish to attack me, because I want an ABS, ignorantly claiming that what I want is no longer a pokemon game, conveintly ignoring the fact that you said Pokemon Games must be turned based because that is pokemon while Pokemon SNAP was on the fucking 64?

I'm supposed to be content with New Content they've been shelling out for 17 years when the original hardware limitations that forced the game to be the way it was designed in the first place have long since been gone? I'm sorry I'm not a content consumer like you are, that I am actually intrested in a different style of play, WHICH IS WHAT A SPIN OFF is.

If you aren't aware of the money that Game Freak makes off of pokemon, that has kept them from deviating from the formula for 17 years, you are just being ignorant of it.

Go ahead, define what a Pokemon Game is, describe the differences from Red to X that the series has undergone, please indulge me.
