Mario Kart 8 sells 1.2 million over first weekend

Thank God something has finally kicked the console up the arse, great news. It deserves some more sales and I hope that:
1.The console maintains a bit of momentum and can kick past 10 million sales before long
2. Nintendo builds on the momentum with some more releases and doesn't let it die off a cliff again
