If you include the top 1% US Americans that are indeed much much richer than the top 1% in Europe, then yes.
Otherwise, counting only people that don't have a yearly salary of 1.000.000 (Euro or Dollar, really doesn't matter), then no it's pretty much the same for a country like the Netherlands.
Of course countries like Romania, Greece, Croatia being far under the US average and Luxembourg, Switzerland, Norway being far above the US.
