How do you know GameFreak expects less than 10 Million? Did they send out an official press release? I have a feeling GameFreak wants OR/AS to do comparably to the other two remakes. 10 Million seems like a good enough prediction, and one that isn't too out there. Afterall, the other two did 11 Million + and OR/AS falling short of that would not be a surprise. ★ How do I know? Seriously? You dont need Gamefreak for this one. XY will do 14mil-16mil lifetime, those are New Pair Gen Games. This is a remake. 1. 3DS<<GBA<<<<<DS (install bases) 2. They are remakes of Gen 1 and Gen 2, by far the most popular games that sold 31mil and 23mil respectively. Remakes of them sold 12mil+12.6mil. 3, Just look at this ~ Pokemon Third Installment(*#Sequel) Compare the first game yellow with the others. Same scenario. ⇒ Yellow: 14.64mil ⇒ Pokemon Crstal: 6.39mil ⇒ Emerald 6.41mil ⇒ Platinum: 7.60mil ⇒ Black2/White2: 7.45mil There is no F***ing way OmegaRuby+Alpha Sapphire sell close to remakes that are based off 31mil+23mil sales and had both bigger install base!!!
Pokémon X/Y should be able to exceed B/W by a fair amount, not just match it. B/W were an ill-timed release and ended up selling the worst, X/Y came out during the prime of the 3DS and had started off better than several other entries. It wouldn't make sense for X/Y to sell worse than B/W, all I'm expecting X/Y to do now is outsell it. Tell me, how is that "high expectations"? I was never expecting X/Y to do 18+ Million, like some people. ★How is XY (around 12mil) going to surpass BW when it has 15.4mil by a fair amount? As for the 18mil+, Many predicted it cuz 3ds was doing extremely well at the time but of course gaming in general is falling way down, just look at the sales |
