1. Well he was fired recently so there is a vacancy. Have you seen the shipments, it's an irrelevance. 2. Ps+... Living in a cave or something? Plus is required for online. Plus was a flop on the ps3 as recently revalued by Sony themselves. What's the difference now? Oh... Multiplayer is behind there too, bingo... Profits. 3. Only because they were all holier than thou about it early on. If they had launched with it nobody would have batted an eye lid. thanks. |
All right, let's go:
1. Its parts of the gaming division, not to meniton the fact that R&D costs have nothing to do with shipment numbers.
2. PS+ is completely optional. Plus is only needed for online multiplayer(ignoring MMOS), I've had a PS4 since black friday, I'm getting Infamous and FFXIV in the summer, the only thing I need PS+ for is the free indie games/discounts I want. Saying the PS+ flopped on the PS3 is ludicrous, its a premium service.
3. Why would Sony charge for a service that was competing against an online service that had an entire generation to grow prior? Why in the hell would they expect to do better by removing one of their few advantages against a competitor which much greater advantages (360)? Profitting slighty to lose a significant amount of marketshare is a nonsensical idea.
You can pretend that it would be good for Sony, but don't apply that useless logic here, when your intentions are as obvious as the wetness of water.
