| RCTjunkie said: Hey, guys! I got to go to GameStop today and try out Mario Kart 8! I didn't get TOO much time, but enough for general impressions. Here's the courses I played: Sunshine Airport Electrodrome Water Park Sweet Sweet Canyon Here are the positive impressions: + Lots of options for the vehicle parts, and they all make a HUGE difference +WiiU gamepad controls are intuitive and easy to jump into +Courses are as fun and amazing as I anticipated +CPU's are at a reasonable difficulty, and item balance is much better than reviewers are stating +Mario Kart TV is also super cool as expected Here are the negative impressions: - The control of your kart can take some getting used to. The style is akin to Mario Kart 7, but feels completely different. Will take getting used to - It seems like overall stat balances favor bigger characters and they'll be overused for their higher speed AND acceleration at only cost of slight amount of control stat -I was the oldest person there, the next one being 13. Maybe Nintendo IS for kids... :/ Anyway, if you got to try it out, comment below your impressions, or if you have any other questions, I'll do my best to answer them |
Glad to hear that the CPU difficulty and items are balanced! The unbalanced nature of MKWii always annoyed me!
