PS2 and the original Xbox were awesome
Japanese gaming was at a high
New IPs everywhere
No DLC, no online passes, no day 1 patches
No twitter or other ways of communicating regularly to devs and publishers, less gamer entitlement imo
Good memories of buying the official Playstation & Xbox magazines and playing all the demos each month
