Pretty much the only thing Wii U has going for it right now is Nintendo's fantastic franchises.  The 3DS, while not going to reach DS levels, is aleady a successful piece of hardware with a large and diverse library.

So why has Nintendo shafted the Wii U by releasing Smash U after the 3DS version and included a 3DS unique mode?  Yes, they have different levels, but seriously, what kind of message does that give?  On this evidence, Wii U is very much Nintendo's secondary focus.

Do you agree?  Do you think that it will affect Wii U hardware sales?

I don't mean to be overly negative, as I have both consoles, just concerned by what Nintendo's attitude is to Wii U right now.
