I'm not the biggest Sonic fan in the world, but from what I have heard and seen of Sonic Boom I'm looking forward to it.
When it was first revealed a lot of attention was drawn to the main characters being redesigned.
Personally I think they look quite good, but can understand why others took the piss, especially some long term fans.
What interests me most about Sonic Boom is that the Wii U version is being done by a Western developer, Big Red Button, which has talent that has worked on games such as Jak & Daxter, Uncharted and Crash. It also looks great, running on an enhanced version of Cry Engine 3, and is not being treated as canon by Sega, which may give the developer a lot of freedom.
So what do you think? Are you looking forward to it? Do you like the character redesign? Do you even care about poor old Sonic anymore?
