Is there a way to watch this show? I missed out on it and then caught the film adaptation which I was told was not representative of the source material (I'd hope not given how poor it was). |
There are several ways to find this show. In o particular order:
First, you can NOT stream it on Netflix. However, you CAN order the DVD's via Netflix. The entire 61 episode length of the show has been released on a total of 16 discs, with discs being sold individually, as part of a Season Box Set, and as part of the full series Collector's Edition. Various digital markets like iTunes have the episodes for sale. Avatar: The Last Airbender also airs regularly on channels such as Nicktoons even to this day.
Of course, those options are fairly inconvenient and/or expensive, which is why people have put all of the episodes online.
My recommendation: get a free 30 day trial with Amazon Instant Video and watch all 61 episodes within a few weeks. The entire series lasts less than 24 hours, so you'd just have to devote a chunk of your free time to it regularly for a month, watching about two episodes a day. Then, if you can't finish the show in time, just find the remaining few episodes online. Though I'd reccomend watching the finale (it's a 4-episode epic) in as high a quality as possible.
