That was a pretty good read and I agree with most of what you said (if not all)...
Basically, when Nintendo does whatever the hell they want they are at their best...so many people try to tell them what is right for the company or what they should do but the second they start bowing to anyone, they will lose part of what makes them special. Too many people agree with the "customer is always right" philosophy but I'd say that that isn't always the case.
Also, I've spoken about my fear of Iwata's successor a few times. While Iwata is far from perfect in the way he leads the company, he upholds Nintendo's core values through thick and thin.
