Pretty much this is how it all looks to me.

Nintendo does monthly direct - "That direct sucked, they didn't show anything new, what a waste of time."

Nintendo waits 2 months - "Where is the direct, I have been waiting FOREVER, hurry up and show us something new."

Awwww the good ole days when nothing was shown until E3.   

Those days sucked! You couldn't appreciate all of the good news because there was so much stuff happening at once. Even great announcements were drowned out by bug disappointments.

These little Directs that you enter with low to moderate expectations with a low to high return rate about every five weeks are much more digestible and more rewarding, even if it means that your 90 minute E3 gets cut in half.
