I'm worried that the Wii U is going to damage franchises like Donkey Kong Country, Zelda, and things like Bayonetta 2 and X may have zero chance. Mario Kart and Smash might do OK .... but what about everything else? Pikmin 3 is already the worst selling Pikmin game, NSMBU will be the worst selling 2D Mario, 3D World hopefully can eek out Super Mario Sunshine's numbers.

The userbase is simply too small, even if Pachter is wrong, 4-5 million in a peak year isn't exactly good either.

I know Nintendo is obsessed with having a screen on the controller, but I think they need to swallow their pride and simply make a new screen-less Pro Controller with NFC built-in (so it doesn't interfere with their NFC Wii F**k U plans) and drop the price to $249.99 and start making a profit per unit.

Is having a freaking screen on the controller worth all this grief? It's hurting their financials and hurting their game franchises. Let it go Iwata. Bring back this idea for the next handheld (with TV streaming?) but right now it's killing you.
