It's roughly 11 gigabytes! Holy cow, for a 2d sidescroller to be bigger than all the 3d Wii u games, and it doesn't even use the gamepad except for offscreen play. Anyone have any idea what Rayman legends and Nsmbu were size wise for comparison? This game is gonna be stuffed with content. |
Just to compare to other Nintendo games:
- Pikmin 3 is about 3.9 GB
- New Super Mario Bros U is about 1.7 GB
- Nintendo Land is about 2.8 GB
- Super Mario 3D World is about 1.7 GB
- Wind Waker HD is about 1.8 GB.
- Wii Fit U is about 3 GB.
So Tropical Freeze is about 6 or 7 times the size of Nintendo's other Wii U platformers.
Incidentally, the original DKC: Returns was about 4.3 GB I think.
