Is this really wrong though? Motion control, motion tracking, or whatever you want to call it, has been around since as long as a device has been able to take a visual reference and extrapolate movement from a device capable of transmitting useable data. Such devices have been around for at least 50 years, but the tech has never been so important as the experiences it enables. This is why the Wiimote will be remembered, and its contenders less so.

Not wrong, but the experience changes when the input is IR, gyroscope or accelerometers.

And I agree that people will remember Wii Sports first rather than Kinect Sports or... Move Sports? ... forgot the name.
