I think Wii is out of anybody grasp, it can still beat PS3. It would be from more from heavy investment in European and Japanese market. Buying exclusive deals with Japanese companies and probably massive price-cut in all 3 regions.
Frankly, it makes no financial sense to do all that. So I think Microsoft will be happy with 40 million + units sold and 3rd place.
