It's hard to say. Apparently, this is the most controversial Sonic game since Shadow the Hedgehog, receiving both stellar and abysmal reviews. From what I've heard, many of the game's flaws like the lives system were fixed by a recent patch, and this new free DLC looks like it'll add a decent chunk of content to the game. I personally am intrigued by the game, and may get it when it drops $10 in price. Just bear in mind that it deviates from other recent titles in the series like Colors and Generations.
