I think (according to others and their similar views) it's not so much that people are hating for what he said about not wanting to buy a third console; there's nothing wrong with that at all, its his opinion (as well as everyone else's). But......
It's really about how he feels towards Nintendo in general. What I'm sensing from his response is that he's too good to buy Nintendo's hardware; which IMO truly shows his hypocritical pseudo superiority-complex self. He doesn't want to shell out the money to play their games because its on their own hardware. So like a cry baby, he says he wont play them because they're not on his console of choice.
He would rather have them stop making hardware just so they can stay in the industry and not have to leave along with their software. To be honest I would much have them leave all together I sure as hell don't want them to end up like sega and atari. Hire some new hotshot CEO and start changing things here an there.
Plus his daughter is going to be left out as Ninty is still going to be around (for longs as they can I hope). Until she's old enough to buy her own videogames she won't be able to play these games, all because daddy was too stubborn to buy her the games for this very reason.
