I learned a lot about the GameCube and original XBox a few months ago and it was absolutely fascinating to find out where their different strenghts were !

Great stuff, overall summary: You can´t say that the XBox was the overall stronger console !

Do you people realize how delusional that statement of how xbox is not overall stronger than the cube ?

It wasn´t ! Both were better in different aspects: insane polygon numbers and fillrate, "free" lighting and almost free particle effects on the Cube vs huge memory pool, easily beeing able to pull from the DX effect pool vs having to programm everything yourself.

The highest number on textured Polygons of the 6th Generation was Rouge Squadron 3 on the GameCube, 20 million polygons @ 60fps

No ! XBox game comes close !


I told everyone that the GameCube did 60 fps & z-depth first. (before the PS3 & 360)
