Depends on how much stock Sony allocates to Europe, in any case, the Wii U looks like its toast in any such comparison.
Sony just made no nonsense next-gen game console at sold at it an affordable price (unlike the PS3). Who knew really it was just that simple, instead of having to have the side show of novelty controllers.
This is what I tell people it's not about putting all your eggs in one basket or praying for one singular "killer app" that will sell the system.
It's about getting the little details right ... Sony's launch lineup isn't even that great, but they nailed it with the hardware and have a breadth of content aimed at people who care about games rather than risking an entire product on unreliable, flakey consumers IMO (casuals).
