Hardware without software is a box. This has little impact on the topic at hand, i.e. whether the Gamepad benefits or detracts from the console. I maintain though that the Gamepad repels more people than it attracts, and that the situation (sales, but tangentially also software) is not going to improve anytime soon.
As for my information being wrong, I'm willing to believe you, but I'd like a source on that first. As an aside, I also challenge the assertion that"most" of the Wii U's library consists of ports, unless you're including multi-plats, in which case I am extremely interested in seeing your evidence.
