As someone who complains about the aesthetic of windwaker.
Pokemon is Pokemon. It's always been childlike and a bit whimsical like Totoro... though admittedly it does feel a bit childish at times. I wouldn't have pokemon any other way, and I look forward to letting my kids play pokemon if the franchise continues it's popularity and fun. I wouldn't want this franchise to change.
The slowdown and not everything in 3D is my main complaint about the new game.
I mean, my brother's girlfriend bought him a 3DS to play pokemon with her as a birthday present. My best friend she plays pokemon. A lot of my other friends play pokemon too. Some of my friends think it's stupid ofcourse, but we aren't so judgemental on eachother, we have lots of things in common but not everything.
I love this new pokemon to death, the most I've loved pokemon since I was like 10 years old.
