The gamecube did not make them a ton of money. It made them money, but no where near the amount of money the PS2 or Wii made. Like I said it survived, but that is not a good thing compared to what they hoped it would do.

it obviously didn't make them the billions like Wii/DS/PS2 did, but it made them profit every year. SSBM helped in the beginning then others mid-end life on GCN. Yes its not good cuz everybody wants their console/handheld to be a DS/PS2. but unlike M$ that hasn't profited at all with Original Xbox or X360 first 4-5 years, i think GCN did pretty alright. Before you reply i know hardware sales sucked. But that doesn't mean overall  . Vita has a good attach ratio in japan right? Its making sony a little money!!! |
Any console looks succesful when compared to the Xbox, the bellweather of failures. Sure the Vita is making money (And I like mine), but it isn't doing very well. I will admit that because I am not delusional. So if the Wii U is doing worse...

WiiU doing better than vita though in same time peroid without games. Vita had COD/AC/ many more. But Imo vita will turn things around starting Dec, i also believe wiiu will do the same but both will obviously be last in market share but a large margin.

im a huge fanboy, but wats obvious is obvious. Can it do 30-40mil? if nintendo works out a plan! Its never too late. PS3 is a great example of that, even 3ds to a certain extent. Vita could do as high as 40mil as well if its fully supported. But we have to wait and see. if there were no changes in both wiiu and vita it both do 12mil-15mil lifetime, no lie
