I know and all but you can't deny the fact that there are already alot of pokemon fans on the 3DS plus some of these pokemon fans also play mario kart or super mario 3D land so all in all what pokemon fans haven't got a 3DS yet ?

Many.  What you're saying applies to almost any console.  If a new game sells 500k FW, I doubt that the system will sell an additional 300k or more.  Since there are MILLIONS of Pokemon fans, I think it is safe to say that world wide sales of the 3DS will at least see a 3x increase from the week prior.
