The Wii is the fastest selling console in video game history, up to around the three year mark. So yes, Nintendo has to be the bar when people are predicting the PS4 to be the fastest selling console of all time.

I don't think the PS4 will be the fastest selling console of all time. The fastest selling console of all time was based upon the first years of casual demand, sure but that was a new audience that more than likely will not be touched again by anyone (including Nintendo) for a while. Lets see if Nintendo can meet the casual demand again....or whether they will just enjoy their tablets and move on shall we?
