I'm playing it right now too. Beat the main game and now tying up loose ends + getting medals in the other modes, haven't experienced slowdown at all. There have been a few times where I had to wait a couple of seconds for the game to load while gliding between regions of the map, but that isn't really slowdown so much as entering a new area and letting the scene load between levels. So yes, the Wii U version of Batman is the superior version when you consider it has free DLC + B.A.T. Mode + GamePad support.
