First bold: Typical Sony/Microsoft Fan response. I doubt you think the Wii U even has a chance, and that Nintendo even has any chance in the console market except in handhelds since they are the only ones there.
Second bold: You can't be serious about that. Of course the 3DS can run N64, the DS even got ENHANCED ports of N64 games. The Wii can easily handle N64 games on VC, and the 3DS is more or less just as capable as the Wii was. The only problem I see with 3DS having N64 VC games is that the N64 controller had the Z button, plus those six face buttons. That leaves the 3DS with 3 buttons less than the N64. However, since the 3DS has a second screen, there obviously can be a way around it. Also, LoZ:OoT3D handles just fine, so it can easily be done.

First, I'm a Nintendo fan too, certainly more of one than anything MS put out, I think it is best for them. Nintendo are creatively dead compared to their old NES/SNES/N64 days and they need a kick up the arse from from stiff competition they're only going to find on other consoles.
Second, running something on emulation is a lot different than running a port. I figured make the CPP required for N64 games to help with lack of buttons. If a worthwhile emulator let people map their own control schemes.

I've seen all of the comments you make. At best, you are a former Nintendo fan. Just like what many Sony fans now say.
Second part, I already answered both to someone else and within the post I made myself. Yes, they are very different. But I wasn't claiming that the DS could run an emulation of N64 games, I only mentioned the port for effect. To highlight the 3DS' capability by showcasing another systems.
and yes, I was thinking the same thing with the CPP and button mapping. However, if I were in charge of Nintendo and this whole process, I would try to find a way around it (in addition to the CPP idea).
