You need a source.....they've said it themselves. They lied about having built a new engine for the game. A few days after the reveal at the MS X1 event they said straight up "ya, jk guys, it's just another slightly reworked version of the same engine we been using."
Google it if you want. This is common knowledge.

Look at them side by side, and tell me it's anything else. Of course they're not gonna say "ya it's just resolution bump." And I'm sure there's probably one or two lines of code altered, like they do for every new CoD game, but by and large, it's the same thing as always in a better resolution.
