you can't as far as I know but what you can do is create a second profile and start the game there as it creates a separate save file for every player

Wow, so Nintendo seriously copied the moronic "one save per account" system from the HD consoles.

Nintendo copying again...grr...

 

But although its an idiotic system, at least it's better than, say, Pokemon. There's ways to work around it.
