It's going to take a lot for Nintendo to sell some of these games, but really a NFC figurine is a 30 cent manufacturing cost. Porting Bayo 1 over is a nomimal cost and should be done anyway to build audience for the game.
It's better than sending these games to market and letting them die. The marketing division isn't going to do sh*t either, we've seen Nintendo's track record for TV commercials, especially with games that aren't in the Mario/Zelda/DKC verse ... and it's ugly and that's not going to change overnight.
They need to rally the Nintendo community around these games and provide strong (but relatively cost effective) incentives for people to get off the fence and stop just waiting for the next Mario/Zelda/Mario Kart/Smash Bros. pattern.
