Not really. They have some great 3DS ads targeting adults and late teens: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANHXM6iviVU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUoVIJdW7-Y http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLFoNe9iD-I http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0uBqg0Vo6A
But with Wii U they are really dropping the ball and going with a kid focus. I think it's dumb. |
The Penelope Cruz ads were for Europe not North America. The NSMB2 spot for North America features kids primarily:

The Diana Agron one I feel like is aimed at young teens/the Disney Channel crowd.
The one with the Community actor is legitimately aimed at an older crowd, but it's an older web-centric spot meant for the internet I believe. It's also an older spot.
This is their recent big 3DS marketing push for Luigi's Mansion 2:

Also I'm not sure if you are in the US, but Nintendo's TV ads pretty much run exclusively on kids networks like Cartoon Network and Nickeldeon here, which is also another clear sign as to who they are marketing to. It ain't teenagers/adults for the most part.
