Wii U games made by Nintendo are lazy? Really?

Hahaha if making fur raises dev cost I can't imagine what a photo-realistic game cost to make.

DK's fur also looks like this in Mario&Sonic: Winter Games and SSB4 on the WiiU. I think they'll just re-use the model throughout all games DK appears in, which should make the costs bearable

You can already see it's not the same model; none of the other games featuring DK have fur as high quality as DKC:TF.

That said, and I see this as someone whose most anticipated game on any platform right now is Tropical Freeze, the fur and the water are the only graphically impessive elements. The rest just looks like DKCR in HD. It won't stop it being an amazing game, but Retro are definitely not putting all that much effort into graphics. It's their first game that doesn't push its system.

               Metroid Prime 2  didn't really look that much better than Metroid Prime in my opinion.
