I would suggest that with your preference, that you should buy a 3D TV ($300+) & 3D Blu-Ray Player ($50+), and just wait for the movie to come out on 3D Blu-Ray to watch Live-Action movies.
Problem solved.
Plus over 70% of todays Americans love 3D. And growing.
Over 90% of people in foreign countries love 3D too.
The sales of 2D TVs have dramatically dropped, but the sales of 3D TVs & Smart TVs are onclining:

Next year seems to be around a 40% increase probably.
This doesn't seem to be fad, so watch Live-Action in 2D in theaters, and re-watch in 3D at home on your TV. Vudu & Blockbuster seem to already have 3D streaming, and Hulu Plus & Netflix are on their way. (a lot of these are just $8 a month)
So you can either stream 3D movies online in the near future or buy a 3D Blu-Ray.....whatever you prefer. If you watch live-action movies in theaters converted into 2D then that is fine, if you really want to see the movie so soon.
The Nintendo 3DS 3D makes everything more brighter & better looking. There's a 3DS XL (way bigger screen), and we are getting full 3D Movies to purchase from Warner Bros. & Disney & Dreamworks soon, and Hulu Plus & Netflix will have 3D streaming starting with Hulu Plus.....which you can download the free apps in the eShop.
