No. Last of Us doesn't really excel in anything outside of the voice acting and that fantastic intro. Good game, but the Mass Effect series is the only thing that comes close to making other games this gen feel dated.

On a side note, the motion performances are probably the finest video games have seen, it certainly sets a standard in that respect.
