That was the point. PS3 was significantly more powerful hardware than 360, but I'm not sure that even any Sony development teams ever really fully tapped that potential. Like you say, on par with 360 games, in most cases because with third party titles, they developed with the 360 in mind, not the PS3.

So certainly, Wii U is more powerful hardware than PS3. But you're not going to see that in especially first wave ports of PS360 titles. You might see it more noticible in a game like Watch Dogs, which they've indicated is taking advantage of the extra power.

Do you have a source for this?

This is a good start I suppose:

Basically stating that the Wii U version will not be a PS360 port. Meaning it will likely use the PC textures, etc., similar to that recent Need for Speed game, which also looked better than the PS360 versions. I also clearly remember Ubi stating that they plan to try and take full advantage of the Wii U hardware, such as the extra RAM, GamePad functionality, etc.

I dunno, as much as I'd love this to be true, when devs talk about "next gen" these days they tend to mean the Xbone and PS4, so I get the feeling he was talking about those versions.

If Ubisoft planned to take full advantage of the Wii U hardware, (I don't remember them ever saying this) then so far they've done a great job with the controller, but a crappy job with the CPU/GPU/RAM
