Never said the same level of sacrifice would be needed. Point is, once you allow sacrifices, even big gaps don't stop a game from "running" on a system. The thread might as  well ask if these games could run on the PS2 if that's the case.

For Wii U games to run on PS3/360 without sacrifices, they'd have to be smaller than 512MB in RAM. Tell me, if you had 1GB available, why would you use less than 512MB of it?

Right, not nearly the same level of sacrifice would be needed. Nor are we certain how much sacrifice would be needed.

You just keep boasting about the 1GB of RAM. As if you actually know the games being developed truly utilize all that memory.

It's not "boasting", it's just discussing specs, which fits the thread topic.

For years now devs have struggled with the RAM limitations of consoles, that's why they're so over the moon about PS4's 8GB. After being restricted by 512MB for so long, (or in the case of Monolith, just 88MB) why would they leave half the available RAM unused? That doesn't make sense. I can see Mario Kart 8 not being memory intensive, but X is an open world game, and Bayonetta 2 showed large, detailed backdrops.
