Wishful thinking? No. Many games have been announced through their investors meetings report. Furthermore, the 3DS XL was announced via a Nintendo Direct following E3. Nonetheless, Nintendo is in a difficult position and I don't see them ''winning'' the holiday season without either a price cut or a 349.99$ bundle with 3D Mario included. Furthermore, in my opinion, Nintendo needs 1 more AAA game in their arsenal for their holiday line-up: Donkey Kong + Mario 3D will not cut it. Pokemon Stadium Wii U to tie in would be a great addition. Hopefully Nintendo realises this. |
That they could announce a game is a given, of course. I only ask what game it could be. And indeed, what game could they release that would not compete with their other offerings? You mention Pokemon Stadium, and while that would be a neat idea, it's a franchise that hasn't seen the light of day for over 10 years. They wouldn't release a game such as that without laying the groundwork, and they wouldn't be able to do that at an investor's meeting.
I believe in honesty, civility, generosity, practicality, and impartiality.
