So you're asserting that it's the Wiimote that caused Mario Kart Wii to sell over 30 million (six times more than the Gamecube game), New Super Mario Bros Wii to sell 27 million, Wii Fit and Wii Fit+ to each separately sell over 20 million, etc.?

No, I'm saying the controller caused far more Wii hardware units to be sold than its predeccesors. The software sales increases were due primarily to a much larger install base and a lot of bundling.
