Gears of War: Judgment can be picked up for at least £20 nowadays, do you really think people are paying around £35 for it when it can be found elsewhere much cheaper. It's selling for £20-£30 and due to extremely poor word of mouth even with a price cut it won't improve much. |
Looks like is coming from you. Big market share retailers (Amazon, Game, Tesco) have Gears at over £30. GOWA has been below £30 for nearly two months. From the last three weeks, its been widely available for well under £20...

Since Gears J hasn't had an official price cut, it sold fine.
You don't seem to know how price cuts work...
Company ships units. Retailer sells the units.
If sales of X game are low, the retailer is not able able to move enough units and order new units.
Therefore, the only way it moves units are by selling the game at a discount (which happened to GOWA very quickly) so more units can be ordered.
Retails dont just discount something if sales are low... they have to be low in relation to shipments.
Its only small websites like simply games or shopto with small warehoused that have put gears on sale.
