I am glad they did. Gave Sony someone else to compete against. Which gave the Wii free reign this gen for the longest time. Also, there will always be threats. If a company cannot learn to handle these threats and still be prosperous, then maybe they should think about downsizing. So far, Nintendo has survived. Wii U is a big test though. They past the 3DS test though, even in a mobile flooded market.

In summary they make one hell of a distraction for Sony so Nintendo can pick up the pieces. LOL

Pretty much. They ate the N64 for breakfast, then while Nintendo was still down and being stubborn they ate them for lunch as well with the GC. Then what happened? The 360 released before the PS3, which should have been just as great as the PS2, plus it won the Blu-ray war. The Wii popped its little head out, saw them distracted and took the flag.

Is the Wii the Hare and PS3 the Tortoise? Or can Nintendo still win in the end? That remains to be seen. They were so excited to jump out ahead of these two battling behemoths, that they burned through their energy.

Casuals tend to do that. Unless you give them the Wii Sports they leave because of lack of content to keep their short attention spans going.
