I don't think miiverse would be the selling point here. If you watched the video, you saw that there was a pad casing that you attached to the phone, and then you could play Wii U games. And all in all if Nintendo made their own phone they would probably also make exclusive games for the phone too.

the concept OS was basic android/iphone layout, nothing novel.  all the miiverse features already exist on iphone/android via nintendo's offical smartphone apps.  wiiU already does remote play when you are home.  remote play to a phone won't happen over 3G so you'd need at least a wifi connection making the feature extreemly limited when you are away from home.  plus you'd have to carry around a gigantic (as for as mobility goes) peripheral.  

no other features were shown.  so what are you excited for?  the idea that nintendo might make games?  ..they are already doing that.

Based on the video, the mock up has 4G. And I'm excited for a combined nintendo handheld/phone. Also, there are no official smartphone miiverse app. 

 

And I'm also 99% Nintendo biased, so I would love a phone by them.
