I'm noticing a lot more AMD guys around these parts. No GeForce love? D:

My old gaming rig ran a 9800gtx. I chose AMD for my new rig because I'm on a budget and recently AMD has a much better performance to cost ratio on their midtier cards. I'm assuming a lot of other people had a similar rational. If money was not an issue I wold have continued using nvidia cards.

That list's prices are based off today's amazon/newegg prices.

Looking at the top 3 cards from each company

AMD cards have been getting much better deals, especially recently. For example Radeon 7850 has been on sale for $140 after rebate a number of times and they also included bioshock infinite/tomb raider/ far cry 3: BM.

30 performance to price ratio + free recent games.

The radeon 7790 has been on sale for $85 once after rebates and came with far cry 3 and BM and is constantly on sale for $110.

35 performance to price ratio + free semi recent game/usually 28 performance to price ratio plus free game.

Radeon 7770 has sold for $78 with free copies of far cry 3 and BM.

27 performance to price ratio + free semi recent game.

the 560 ti sold for $140-$30 rebate once, but looking through the slickdeal comments, the company, zodiac, is notorious for never actually sending out rebates.

32 performance to price/25 for those who didn't recieve their rebate.

660 sold for $175 with metro: last light.

23 performance to price ratio with free new game.

650 ti sold for $95 after rebate with $75 F2P game currency.

29 performance to price ratio with f2p game currency
