I'm starting to get the sense Nintendo is not going to release Pikmin 3 or Wii Fit U until there's a price drop because perhaps they've made up their mind that games like that will do nothing but bomb given the current Wii U climate.

Perhaps they're waiting to be able to drop the price in June/July/August or whatever and will just take the first months of the Wii U as a write off.

It's been a disaster, no doubt. I expect a lot of "please understand"s from Iwata at the investors briefing and a lot of excuses.

This actually sounds quite plausible. Why would Nintendo release games that could be at least moderate to big successes, if they can turn into miserable bombs given the odds?

I'm actually starting to give up on having a balanced experience on a Nintendo home console, and as of late, my X360 has been giving me all the gaming I need to/can do. Since last half of the current gen, it's been bittersweet, but more bitter than sweet really. Secrecy, delays, cancellations, bad press, missed localizations, lack of third party support. I'm not going through all of this again. I won't impulse buy a Wii U. Even if Zelda comes out, I will hold my horses.
I'm disappointed, because what could have been, just isn't so and won't probably. Nintendo let the opportunity fly by, and at least for me, they will have to do a lot to get me back. Perhaps I'll get a 3DS, switch this time to a handheld, Wii U is irrelevant for me.
