How many of the policies did Labout overturn?  None.  She won the argument big time and socialism was killed in her time in office.  For that alone I thank her.

I feel like those two are contradictions, and I agree with the second. The invention of New Labour was brought about when Labour realised that Thatcher had done far too well for anyone to ever buy anything like Harold Wilson and Michael Foot again. Again, I respect them for having conviction, but Michael Foot as a prime minister would have been an unmitigated disaster.

Better a sleaze with some good ideas (Tony Blair) than a respectable man with entirely the wrong view of the world (Foot).
