So I played the NSMBU demo at Walmart- Is it supposed to be nearly the exact same visual wise as the Original?

It's funny that 2D Mario sells twice as much as 3D Mario, yet gets about 1/5 the amount of effort put into it. I mean, production value wise, Mario Galaxy runs laps around NSMBU despite being on a less powerful console.
