The Nintendo 3DS has StreetPass & 3D controls (motion sensors in handheld) & virtual Surround sound Speakerphones (for people who don't have surround sound headphones like "Plantronics Gamecom 777") & Play Coins & Mii's created by taking a photo of yourself & 3D Augmented Reality & true Panarama view in video game system & Real Apps & DLC in Handheld console & download full 8 GB games in handheld device & download Full 3D movies to watch on the go & glasses-free 3D.
The Wii U has "Single-Player-Asymetrical-Gaming" & true panorama view in Home Console & NFC (as shown in E3 2011 & use for "Reverse Augented Reality" as well as for other things of course) & true home console video chat during gaming & Geomagnitic Sensor & MiiVerse (also in 3DS) & TVii.
And as a bonus the 8th Gen gave us eShop & Nintendo Network.
Here's some examples of the Wii U doing "Single-Player-Asymetrical-Gaming": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRr6JG15RK4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dza-jS7B7VU
