As I said in another thread: companies are led by humans, that make all the decisions. Humans have emotions, worries and so on. While the CEOs probably doesn't support anything that hurts the company (because they may lose their jobs in that case) they have some space for own decisions. Even if personal feelings or personal opinions are involved.
